Last Tuesday of the month at 7.15 pm at Dunvant Rugby Club
Thus the Fellowship was given the title ‘Simeon Fellowship’ after the Biblical Character who welcomed the ‘Holy family’ into the Temple at what we now remember as ‘The presentation of Christ in the Temple’.
It was decided that a neutral venue for the meetings, preferably in a social setting, would be more acceptable than meeting at a place of worship; so the meetings are held at Dunvant Rugby Club.
Members gather for meetings at 7.15 p.m.
The Fellowship retains satisfactory attendance but new members would be made most welcome. There is an annual membership fee of £10 to cover expenses.
Anyone interested may contact the Vicar or Churchwardens
The fellowship was formed in 2007 out of a desire to create an ecumenical meeting for the male members of the various Denomination Churches in the area, and also to ‘welcome’ any other men from the locality who might be interested.
Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month, with the A.G.M. In September, through to June. There are no meetings in July and August but an annual outing is arranged for members and their ladies during August.
At 7.30 p.m. one of the members will lead a short devotion and prayers on a theme of their choice. This is followed by a ‘buffet meal’ for which there is a small charge, after which a talk/lecture is presented by a speaker which is arranged by the programme secretary . The programme is arranged with a view to having talks of a religious and secular nature.
